The Honorable Raúl R. Labrador

Raúl R. Labrador is the Managing Partner and Founder of The Labrador Group, LLC.  Raúl is a senior government relations and public affairs professional with more than 30 years of experience in policy development, strategic planning, coalition building, legal analysis, legal research, public relations and communications in government and the private sector.


In 2006, Raúl was elected to the Idaho Legislature where he served for 4 years. In 2010, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives where he served for 8 years. In Congress, Raúl was regarded as one of the foremost experts on immigration reform and border security and eventually became the Chairman of the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security. He also served for 8 years on the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources. 


After his service in Congress, Raúl worked as Director of Government Relations for Shape Security, a Silicon Valley based cyber-security company that protects the world's leading banks, airlines, retailers, hotel chains, and federal agencies against sophisticated cyber-crime.


Raúl graduated from Brigham Young University in 1992. He then attended the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle.  After Law School, Raúl was a law clerk in the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.


Prior to his service in Congress, Raúl practiced immigration law in Idaho representing a diverse clientele that included Micron Technology and other high tech firms. After working for other law firms, he founded and managed Labrador Law Offices, P.C., an immigration law firm with offices in Boise and Nampa. 


In both private practice and government, Raúl has always worked in fast-paced work environments and has been praised for his excellent written and verbal communication skills. Raúl has been highly successful in influencing elected officials, legislative/regulatory leaders, state and federal staff, and the public in substantive policy areas.

Raúl and his wife Rebecca currently live in Eagle, Idaho. They have five children and one adorable granddaughter.


Doug Taylor

Doug Taylor is a Principal at The Labrador Group, LLC.  As an experienced government affairs professional, Doug has more than 15 years working in both government and private sector in public policy analysis and development, strategic planning, political strategy, grassroots and coalition development, and media and public affairs.

Doug’s career began in Washington, D.C., where he spent five years serving as a policy advisor in the United States Senate. He advised two U.S. Senators on economic policy, trade, tax, technology and innovation and financial and monetary policy. After leaving Capitol Hill, Doug spent three years representing the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and working with Congress to construct budgets for INL’s cutting-edge research programs in Idaho.

After 8 years in Washington, D.C., Doug moved his young family home to his native Idaho to work as Congressman Raúl Labrador’s Chief of Staff. In this role, Doug shared responsibility for all aspects of the Congressman’s congressional and political activities in Idaho, including political strategy, communications, policy and political fundraising.

In 2018, Doug became Managing Director for The Yellowstone Group, a commercial real estate firm specializing in real estate investment strategies and acquisitions. He also served as a board member for a non-profit promoting good public policy on housing and economic development issues.

Doug graduated with University Honors from Brigham Young University in 2004. He later earned a master’s degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. 

Doug and his wife Adele have four children and currently live in Meridian, Idaho. He enjoys golf, anything in Idaho’s mountains, and spending time with his family.
